I move away from the mic to breathe!

Oh, right.  I have a blog.

On the “Get the hell outta dodge” front, things are all set to move out in the beginning of July.  I’ve set a budget for myself and I’ve been pretty good about sticking to it.  I know about how much money I’ll have at any given time, and I should be pretty comfortable up through the rest of the year.

In order to save money, I’ve started getting small microwaveable meals for lunch.  Eating out all the time is expensive, and lazy. :|   I’ve also reduced my caffeine intake to “24 ounces of Pepsi a day”.  Which may seem like a lot, but when you compare it to 32-48 ounces a day, it’s a nice step.  In a few weeks, I’ll try to reduce that even further.

Not exactly the most exciting news up front, but it’ll get better, I swears it. :)

Tuesday: Snuck over to B33J’s house to play Hysteria.  The Muse song… in ROCK BAND.  The drums are SO MUCH FUN HOLY FSCKING CRAP.  Musegasm ALL over myself.

Saturday: People’s Republic of 1Up, The Podcast, episode 13 is up.  The maturity level is much better in this one.  I dare say, the podcast is pretty good, but most of it is in-joke kinda stuff.  It’s really good if you visit the 1up.com forums regularly.

Saturday night, I drove to Columbus to go see a show.  An epic show.  Powerglove.  I’ve been a fan of theirs since I discovered them a year ago.  I was still DJing for PowerFrag and wanted to get some more Videogame-ish stuff.  Shortly after we discovered Metroid Metal, I discovered Powerglove.  Videogame Metal music of AWESOME.  The arrangements are very much oriented for mass appeal.  Easy to mosh to.  LOVE IT.

Got back around 2 AM, conked out at 3:30 or so.  Spent most of yesterday just kinda recovering from that.  (Sore neck, ringing ears, raspy voice, the usual.)   I picked up a T-shirt, a couple posters, and some stickers to adorn randomly.

Tonight, we should be getting together to make character for some new Roleplaying.  We’ll be using the Alternity ruleset to play us some Star*Drive!   I can’t wait. :D

Now is the time for games and such.

Age of Conan:  People tell me really good things about it, and I’ve got some friends who play.  I’m still iffy, myself.  If anyone has a friend-pass kinda thing so I can try it, I would love to give it a shot.

The World Ends With You is probably the most fun you can have with your DS, and an RPG.

Iron Man: PHENOMENAL!  GO SEE IT.    Speed Racer: ALSO AMAZING.  GO SEE IT!

I’m currently playing through the GBA Port of Final Fantasy VI.  It still is one of the best RPG’s I’ve ever played. :D   (Even if I am grinding up 255 battles to turn a cursed shield into an awesome shield…)

B33J and I started playing around the same time.  He’s been distracted by other things though, so I shot way ahead of him.  I doubt he’s even got the airship at this point, and I’m already in the World of Ruin.  Ah well.  Such is the way of things when you have a girlfriend. :P

I’m still waiting to hear back for an interview for a help desk spot that opened up.  It’d be nice to hear one way or the other.  Until then though, Work is Work and there’s not much to say about it.

Other than we’re about to get 4 new people and likely rearrange our seats and such.  Woo boy.

Anyway, I wish everyone a happy Memorial Day.  Allow me to repost this from my mother, just because.

Happy Memorial Day!   Take a moment to revere your ancestor Abijah Reed, born in 1754 that helped win your freedom, and James Madison Reed, who was shot in the butt by the confederates in the civil war.

I salute you, even if you did get shot in the buttocks.
