Recently, I’ve become a bit more interested in exploring the pagan side of holidays. I picked up a nice little book the other day. The Wiccan Year (link) details the 8 major holidays associated with generic Wicca. Mostly, I like that it details the etymology of each holiday, and ideals to keep in mind during that time, rather than “spells and rituals”. I eat up stuff like this.
So the Yuletide season is upon us. It is a time to celebrate, to feast, and to enjoy ones self! In preparation, I’ve started putting up some lights. I’m going to continue looking for a Yule Log, and maybe a miniature tree to decorate. Here’s a few pictures of the lights I put up. Note: I don’t clean up my room for spur of the moment pictures. Marvel at the state of the manitarium. Also note that these are fancy LED lights.
