Today is muh bosslyboss’s Birthday. She’s turning 24 again this year. *poke* We all brought foods for a massive luncheon, complete with pizza. HUGE Sheet pizzas were brought in… and much food was consumed. I brought in some spicy party wraps, and they disappeared pretty quick-like. I’m a little surprised, but not really. Everytime I make something, it disappears QUICK.

It’s amazing how well this works. Keep food and healthy snacks around, you’re not so tempted to eat at fast food places. Now that I don’t feel odd for keeping food around (*shake-fist at the troll-cave*), I find myself cooking more, bringing sammiches for lunch, and overall.. saving tons of money.

I gave myself huge padding for my budget, and wound up with ~ $400 surplus this month. Go me! I splurged and purchased 2 GB of Ram for my computer. Gotta love these Rams. Moo Moo Moo. Iceman is now supercharged, with 2 monitors and 4 gb of RAM. The extra monitor comes from Moloth, who recently purchased a 22 inch widescreen MONOLITH for his computer. His old monitor would have sat unused..so I pilfered it for my personal use, until I get something better.

I also splurged and re-activated my WoW account. I’m moving my main to Hyjal (PvE), to play with Moloth and his friends. For The Horde! — I was thinking it over this past week..the most fun I’ve had in an MMO was with WoW. I’ve tried others, and I just can’t get away from it. So here I am, back once again.

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with losing ~70 million ISK worth of equipment in Eve. I was planning on not renewing that subscription aanyway.. :P but getting caught in a gatecamp and losing an extra special ship certainly helped make my decision.

Some of you may have heard that SilentMerc is putting together a new internet radio station..for gamers, by gamers. Real Gamer Radio. It’s in pre-launch right now, so feel free to stop by the forums.

The reason I bring it up, is because I’ve thought long and hard about something.. and approached my friends.. and came to the conclusion that I would love to DJ once again. I’ve committed to one show a week, but the schedule is yet to be determined. Expect big things to come.

Along that same vein, I’ve been catching up with old radio buddies.. most notably SeaRaptor and Capt_Killjoy. I would love to hear them back on air…it would inspire me immensely.

Also: Does ANYONE know how to get in touch with Mymic? I miss the ol’ southern dude.. would love to talk to him again.

Holy hell, I can’t believe I forgot to write about this. This was the whole POINT of me getting on and updating right now. O_o

At work, we were told that our computers will be stripped of MP3 files, and that we will no longer be able to save music and such onto our computer. Cue “You just lost on the price is right” music.

We *may* get a shared server to hoard things..but it’d be limited space. The WORST part? This picture.

I would NOT want to lose that much music. My options? Buy an external hard drive.. or get an external casing for an existing spare hard drive..which is what I’ll be doing. It should be a crime to erase that much music.

I’m defragging my computer at the moment.  As it turns out, my 160 GB Hard Drive was down to 20 gigs free..and I decided to clear up some space.  Removed WoW for good, Tomb Raider, Rainbow Six: Raven Shield, Tabula Rasa, Trickster Online, and a few other things.   Before defrag, I have 42.11 GB Free.. we’ll see how much that impoves afterwards.

Halinu got me turned onto the Mabinogi closed beta, and I in turn told Sparks about it.  I spent the last few days kinda getting a feel for it, seeing if I liked it or not.. etc.  I’m not getting too attached to the character (since it will be gone in 2 days. Ha.)  But once I understood the combat system, I think I could spend a great deal of time in the game.  It’s interesting, if I had to say one thing about it. :o

She has a much more detailed write-up on her blog (Shameless plug!) so..go check it out.  In the meanwhile, when the servers open up for the day, I should be online and putzing around with my character Jaleed.  I started him off at age 10, and I’m going down a warrior-like path with him.  I haven’t tried magic much, but I think I’ll save that for my next character (hurrah open beta).

In other news, I’ve added an Image Gallery plug-in.  It’s not nearly as versatile as the one I had on geeklog, but dammit..it’ll work.

The troll took us out for Indian food last night.  Delicious stuff, but I had a sneaking suspicion he was there to watch the belly dancer.   She was cute, well-shaped, but it seemed like she hadn’t been dancing for very long.  Her ‘routine’ wasn’t very thought out, didn’t flow well..  and she didn’t have he hip control or fluidity I’m used to seeing in belly dancers.   Now, you may ask yourself “Hey PantslessJedi, you don’t belly dance, how can you say such a horrid thing?”  Easily.  At the renaissance fairs, there are usually several belly dance troupes.  Plus, my mother took up belly dancing some time ago.   So, you could say, I’m used to seeing dancers of a bit higher quality.  ^_^;;

Moloth and I snuck off to Starbucks on friday night, and just had a really relaxing evening.  He had a novel to read, and I brought my D&D Stuff.  It was awesome to just sit and shoot the breeze, talk about life.. and just kinda get to know each other better.   In other news, I’m still the biggest dork in the universe.   =|

I went ahead and filed my federal tax return earlier, and I’ll file my state one in a week or so when they finally open it up for Georgia.  This way, I get my large sums of money..sooner!  And.. new PC. :)

Yes, I’ve decided on a new PC, rather than a high-def T.V.   The reason being, I’d get more use out of the PC than I would the TV.  Plus,  I’d wind up getting a 360 with my t.v. and then have less excuses to go hang out with friends.

I like friends.  Electronics..not nearly as much.

So there you have it.  A blog post for the weekend.  The rest of the day I plan to do a whole lot of putzing around.  (Actually.. I need to do some sprucing up in my room.  :P   So I’ll probably take care of that.)

…. I need caffeine.

Theeemes!

There. I’ve got a wordpress theme I’m relatively happy with, and can focus on the important things, like blogging.

Brian, Scott, Erin and I decided we really wanted to start roleplaying again, so we started making characters over the weekend. Scott will be playing our illustrious Dungeon Master. :D Gooo Scott!

So yes, we’re doing a D&D Campaign, set in his homebrew world of New Genesis. I’m currently writing up a page about my character, Rucio Valeth. He’s a sorcerer, who will eventually become a Death Delver. I don’t want to spoil too much, so you have something to read about when I finish his character bio. ;)

Our characters are going to be slightly more..sinister..than your standard campaign. We’ll be doing the more nefarious roles, in what Scott has come to call the “Shadow of Heroes” campaign. I’m lovin’ it.

Brian finally picked up Wonderwall for Rock Band! I’ve been wanting to get it ever since I saw it announced as DLC. I love the song so much. I got to sing it twice last night.. and I nailed it on Medium and Hard (95% or better). Oh, and we picked up Coheed and Cambria – Ten speed, and Rush – Working Man. Is it me, or does the intro to Ten Speed sound like it could be a live-version of a Mega Man song? For that matter.. the intro to Welcome Home (also by Coheed and Cambria) sounds like a song in Tetris.

I notice these things.

Continuing with the videogame front, I’m anxiously checking the mail every day, hoping to receive a package with Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. My mom said she would pick it up for my birthday, and since it came out last tuesday, I’ve been hoping it will arrive soon. My anticipation knows no bounds. I’m keeping myself from reading/hearing anything about it, outside the fact that reviewers seem to think it’s a pretty decent game.

I haven’t played an Advance Wars game since the original on the GBA, but I’ve always loved that particular combat system. It’s very similar to the Fire Emblem series, and Warsong (Genesis! Old School yo.) Every day it doesn’t come, builds my anticipation more. :)

My W-2′s are here, so I can do my taxes.. actually, they’re all done. I just need to wait until the 8th when Georgia State Tax allows e-filing, then I’ll file everything, get large sums of money, and buy stuff. Isn’t money grand?

Speaking of moneys.. there is a tax refund this year. $600 for single people, $1200 for couples, and an additional $300 per kidlet. I’ll be grateful for that check when it comes in June, but I’m going to hang onto it in case the government decides it’s simply an ‘advance’ like the one in 2001.

I went clothes shopping last week, and picked up a few pairs of pants and some shirts… Nothing terribly exciting, 2 pairs of khaki’s, 2 overshirts, 3 colored undershirts. It was a necessity. I wore one of the new ‘outfits’ to work, with rave reviews (Save one, who said the pants weren’t tight enough to show off my ass.)

Ha. Nobody wants to see flabby guy-butt. ;) Ah well. I’ll save the tight pants for the emo kids and rock stars.

I hate people today.

I really do.  Or at least, some of the people in Vegas.  Today, I was not-so-gently reminded why I absolutely cherished leaving.

I call Chaz, to go hang out and do stuff.  His first question is “Hey, can you give us a ride somewhere?”  … Fucking hell, you haven’t seen me for a YEAR, and all you want is a ride somewhere?  We even invited you to our house for a nice homecooked turkey dinner, and you blow it off for some fucking FRANKS AND BEANS?  You infuriate me.  Your total disregard for common courtesy, the fact that you’re still slumming, the fact that you’ll never accomplish anything..

I’m truly glad I don’t talk to you anymore.  You were a weight dragging me down.  I see that now, and it makes me cherish my life in Georgia so much more.  I have friends who aren’t dicks, who are supportive, and who I can count on not to just use me for the shit I have.

I’ll be perfectly fine if I don’t see you at all the rest of my vacation.
